These are very special days based at the River Cottage HQ on the Devon/Dorset border. After a hearty breakfast we set out, usually on a bus, to a secret location where we do our best to find something edible, or at the very least, something interesting. Back at RCHQ I lay out all the finds of the day and talk through the individual species. Gil or Dan, the RC chefs will give a demonstration of how to cook a mushroom dish or two, and then we all sit down to a late, and always fabulous, lunch. If we have been successful part of the lunch is, of course, a mushroom dish!
