These have been a great success for the last three years so I have set aside three days for this year to do the same.  As usual they will be in the New Forest. Please remember that I cannot promise we will find as much as we might hope, but we have done very well for the last three years.

If you are interested in coming on one of these them please download this doc file, fill in the form and send it to me with a cheque for the appropriate amount. If you would rather make a bank transfer then let me know.

The day will start at 10:30am and there will be much foraging until around 5:00pm. I will identify things as we find them (when I can!) and we will have a big (I hope) labelled display of all our finds at the end of the day. I will  supply a good picnic lunch for everyone which we may have to eat in the pouring rain (I will have a cover for any such eventuality. Of course we will also be eating any edibles we find.

The foray will cater for nearly all levels of expertise from the absolute beginner to the experienced forager. Professors of mycology will only be welcome if they announce their profession before the foray starts!

The cost would be £80 per person (including a really good lunch) children £15. I will be restricting the numbers to about 16 adults per day. I will probably also have to put a limit on the number of children but we will see how things go.

Warning: Eating wild fungi can be a wonderful way of enjoying the fruits of nature, but if you get it wrong you may kill yourself. Before you eat anything please read this.
